COMMUNITY SERVICES

LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL GRANTED OVER US $4 MILLION TO SUPPORT FRONTLINE HEALTH WORKERS AND FIRST RESPONDERS SAVING LIVES FROM COVID-19 VIRUS.

OUR SERVICES

Our unique development ensures that we have the very best Lions members who are dedicated and contribute in every level of Services, from hands-on to fundraising for causes we serve in our community and around the world.

We hold dinner meetings at restaurants in our community, mostly at the Palm Tribeca Restaurant or Capital Grille Wall Street.   To attend one of our meetings, please contact:  secretary@nyfidilions.org

During Covid-19 pandemic, Lions International funded Millions of dolars to Clubs all over the world to help those affected by Covid.  The Financial District Lions Club decided to fulfill a much needed gap  from funds received through its Multiple District 20,  by  decontaminating the vehicles of the Medical Professionals and staff at the New York City's Columbia University Irving Medical Center's (CUIMC). These First Responders Professionals were working over 14 hours 6 days a week under termendous stress while exposed to the most critical patients and vulnerable to become infected with COVID-19 virus and risking of bringing the virus home in their vehicles.

We used the 1811ElectroMist™ process that incorporates electrostatic spraying, EPA registered Mediclean™ (Reg. No. 70385-6) and provides immediate sterilization. In two minutes or less the process disinfects the contacted surfaces and kills 99.9% of multiple viruses organisms (Coronavirus/COVI19, SARS, HIV, MRSA, Norovirus and all cold/flu viruses) with the same protocol currently used by hospitals and medical professionals worldwide: The spraying process adds a negative static charge with the solution being applied. It magnetizes wrapping around and clinging around to every surface giving 360⁰ touchless coverage at whichever angle it is sprayed, including the most difficult to reach and leaving no residue behind.  We finally went back and were able to decontaminate over 200 vehicles.

CUIMC is the largest medical center of New York-Presbiterian Hospital in Manhattan, and one of the global leaders in responding to COVID-19. Formerly known as Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, CUIMC was the first academic medical center in the world specifically build in 1920 to house a medical school and Presbyterian Hospital.

We  are grateful for out Lions Member owner of the  "1811 Auto Repair/1811ElectroMist"  of Red Hook, Brooklyn who enabled two of the company's certified staff to manage the decontamination. The  company is fully insured with valid certificates, state licensed, GSA, SAM, EPA Certified and DUNS registered, and serves many Federal government agencies in New York.
